Our current-sensing occupancy detector works with both DC and DCC layouts. Four detectors are on a single circuit board to bring the cost per detector lower, however it is possible to only populate part of a card if one, two, or three detectors in one location is practical. Electrical isolation between your track power and the circuit the detector feeds into is a good idea. Our detector accomplishes this by using optical isolation. |

Current sensing detection requires rolling stock to draw a small current. You can make your own detectable wheelsets for rolllng stock that draw a small current, or you can purchase them from companies such as Logic Rail Technologies. We have had good results using two of their detectable wheelsets per car. |

Payment methods available:
Ordering multiple kits: When placing an order with more than two of the same kit, bulk packaging will be used. This means that instead of separately packaged kits, the required quantity of each component will be packaged together. One or two separate components needed for all kits will be in a plastic bag or IC tube with a label or labels applied to indicate the component. One hardcopy of the assembly and installation instructions will be included with the order. If you require individual kit packaging, you must email us in advance or at the time of ordering. |
